Prices on Tradzy
We do not show live prices for Hungary yet. A market joins Tradzy Markets when we have a price source we are allowed to publish. Until then this page explains how the market works.
How investing works in Hungary
Shares in Hungary trade on the Budapest Stock Exchange. To buy them you need a broker that is able to trade on that exchange, and you pay in HUF.
The regulator is the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB). It licenses brokers and publishes the rules for listed companies, so checking that a broker is registered with it is the first step.
Before you invest, read the rules for foreign investors in Hungary: some markets limit who may buy, and some restrict how money leaves the country. Our guide on foreign investor rules covers what to check.
Prices are quoted in HUF. If you live in another currency, a move in the exchange rate can change your return even when the share price does not move. See currency risk for foreign stocks.
